AFRISO is Main Subsidy Prize Award Winner 2009
The latest round of subsidy initiatives for medium sized companies ended on 25th June with a festive awards ceremony in Karlsruhe, at which AFRISO was awarded the main prize for 2009. “We are very pleased with this award, presented to us by a professional service provider, as it represents a clear analysis of our competitive position in the Internet and we hope to be able to benefit from it in the future”, commented a happy Dr. Gerold Monninger from the renowned, traditional AFRISO company.

The subsidy initiative, which is part of the medium sized company subsidy programme first established in 2003, has the aim to strengthen the competitiveness of medium sized companies by awarding subsidy prizes in an unbureaucratic way. Prof. Dr. Lothar Späth, who supports the annual initiative since its conception in 2003, is convinced: "A successful medium sized company is not a matter of chance, but the result of continuous innovation".

The great interest in this subsidy initiative shows, that optimization possibilities exist in every company. At the awards ceremony in the Karlsruhe Centre for Arts and Media Technologies (ZKM) a positive mood was present amongst the 180 industrialists and Prize Winners from Germany, Austria and Switzerland regarding future business prospects and cooperation possibilities. In the present round more than 50 sponsors awarded 1.400 prizes with a total value of 2.1 Mio. Euro, of which there were 169 Main Subsidy Prizes. The award winning companies will receive together with their prizes innovative IT solutions which have been evaluated and checked for seriousness and quality of innovation by an independent Innovation Board.
