MFM 22 moisture measuring instrument
The first and, so far, only stand-alone moisture measuring instrument for log wood with TÜV test (VDI 4206 sheet 4) published in the German "Bundesanzeiger"

The AFRISO MFM 22 moisture measuring instrument is currently the only stand-alone measuring instrument already TÜV-tested as per the requirements of VDI 4206 sheet 4 and already published in the German "Bundesanzeiger". The German "Bundesanzeiger", published by the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection, is used to publish statutory regulations and announcements of the Federal Republic of Germany. The moisture measuring instrument can now be employed by any chimney sweep to determine the moisture in wood logs.

The measuring instrument uses electrical conductivity to measure the moisture. This is a proven measuring principle for wood in use for many years. A hammer electrode is used as a sensor. These sensors yield much better results than needles. In addition, these sensors are much more robust in day-to-day use. They enable practical, real-world measurements in hardwood such as beech and oak.

A wide variety of accessories such as special probes for pellets, wood chips (TÜV-tested), screed, brickwork, concrete, gypsum, etc. is provided for other applications. In addition, the measuring instrument features a temperature socket type K for an optional temperature probe which can be used to automatically take into account the temperature in the evaluation. Suitable type K probes allow for rapid temperature measurements at the wood surface. This is a decisive benefit because measurements take unnecessarily long without a temperature probe due to the longer calibration time. The fully automatic Hold function ensures high-accuracy measurements even in the case of variations which may be caused by, for example, electrostatic charges. Of course, the measuring instrument also features a separate program complying with the German Federal Immission Act (BImSchV) with practical 3-point mean value determination. The menu lets you indicate moisture (u) or water content (w).

In addition, the device provides a fast evaluation of the condition of the material via a reference value "DRY" to "WET". MFM 22 is a user-friendly all-rounder and an indispensable tool for chimney sweeps, experts, architects, companies specialised in the area of water damage, wood-processing companies, etc.
