Monitoring of the carbon dioxide concentration in the ambient air
AFRISO has launched a compact CO2 sensor for continuous monitoring of the carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration in the ambient air in rooms. The CO2 sensor is used in rooms in which many persons work, study or live and where carbon dioxide levels may consequently be elevated. High concentrations of carbon dioxide in the ambient air reduce the ability of persons to concentrate and perform. The CO2 sensor is ideal for educational institutions, large training and meeting rooms, large offices or commercial operations and for households.

The sensor uses infrared technology. The CO2 concentration is indicated directly at the device by an LED (colour scale green, yellow, red). With an unobtrusive design and a mains plug at the rear, the sensor can be easily placed in rooms. The sensor is available with or without EnOcean wireless technology. The version CO2 sensor F (with EnOcean wireless module) sends the measured values to the AFRISO gateway for further processing and initiation of appropriate action. For example, it is possible to start a room ventilation system in order to reduce the CO2 concentration. The current carbon dioxide concentration is also displayed by the AFRISO apps. The AFRISO gateway in conjunction with additional AFRISO products with EnOcean wireless technology allows the user to configure a whole range of fully customisable, extensible applications.
The device is supplied with AC 100–240 V. The EnOcean wireless module has a range of 10 to 30 m.
