Inner Tank Lining and Oil Tank Conversion Kit III (rb_701t1)
(old) Fuel Oil Tank = (new) Rain Water Rank
Climate change has become a global issue. We have experienced several very dry summers and all serious climate experts predict summers with even less precipitation. This has a negative impact on more than just nature and agriculture. In summer 2006, even the power plants in Germany had to reduce the power production by 30% since due to the reduced levels in the rivers and the higher water temperatures, the cooling efficiency was no longer sufficient. Under these climatic conditions, providing enough drinking water is increasingly becoming a major challenge. In view of this, why waste valuable drinking water for watering the garden, in particular since such water is calciferous and not always suitable for such purposes? Instead, it makes more sense to use rain water for watering the garden and other purposes where drinking water quality is not required. Soft rain water ensures optimum plant growth and is available for free. From an ecological and from an economic perspective, saving drinking water is becoming a necessity, also for the industry. And in may cases, rain water harvesting is even subsidised.
If heating oil storage tanks can no longer be used, for example due to corrosion, or if the heating system is converted to other types of energy, the tanks can, for instance, be shut down or filled with sand which involves a lot of time and money.
However, old oil tanks can also be cleaned by a specialist company and then fitted with a special inner lining provided by AFRISO-EURO-INDEX. The Oil Tank Conversion Kit III which consists of a plastic manhole cover, a cartridge filter and an inlet unit for bottom filling then allows owners of disused oil tanks to install a rain water harvesting system for their gardens that makes perfect sense both economically and ecologically. The core of the system is the manhole cover which features two holes for easy and clean piping. The pipe is routed from the down pipe to the access chamber of the tank and connected to the cartridge filter. The filter is connected by means of quick-action connection pieces. The pipe to the sewage system must form a siphon using the drain ground elbows. The inlet unit for bottom filling prevents turbulence in the tank during filling and sedimentation layers are not stirred up. At the same time, the collected rain water is supplied with oxygen. The Forta Duo 1100 pump is perfectly suitable for withdrawing water from the tank. The new Oil Tank Conversion Kit III is designed for roof areas of up to 150 sqm. The system is immediately ready for operation after the first rainfall and the drinking water consumption is reduced.
