AFRISO joins German 'Quality Association for Oil Tanks with Odour Barriers' (rb_744ts)
Oil odour? Forget it!
Modern, energy-saving oil heating systems not only require advanced, safe tank systems, but also odour-tight installations. Oil odour in residential buildings is not just unpleasant, but dramatically reduces the quality of living. The penetrating oil stench known from old tank installations should be a matter of the past. But even though most above-ground oil storage facilities are located in basements of houses and are therefore close to the living area, quantification of the odour permeability has never been part of approval tests. For this reason, leading suppliers of oil tanks and components with odour barriers formed the "Quality Association for Oil Tanks with Odour Barriers" (Qualitätsgemeinschaft geruchsgesperrter Heizöltanks e.V. QgH) in 2004 in order to set a new standard for modern oil heating systems. This standard defines which highly effective odour barriers for oil tanks and components and protects consumers from oil odour is called PROOFED BARRIER. All products with the PROOFED BARRIER quality label are odour-proof. The label has become a widely known and accepted standard in the heating systems market.
AFRISO-EURO-INDEX has joined forces with the "Quality Association for Oil Tanks with Odour Barriers" (Qualitätsgemeinschaft geruchsgesperrter Heizöltanks e.V. QgH) and received the PROOFED BARRIER quality label for an entire range of products. AFRISO-EURO-INDEX, founded back in 1869, is a leader on the heating systems market with an immaculate track record of innovation and development in the field of economically and environmentally advanced heating systems and the secure storage of fuel oil. The company registered as many as seven system components for certification.
These AFRISO products were subjected to very demanding long-term testing by the Fraunhofer Institute (IVV) where they had to exhibit their outstanding qualities:

The Fraunhofer Institute not only tested the products themselves, but also the effectiveness of processes, materials and large-scale production methods in terms of the diffusion barrier.
All tested products received the PROOFED BARRIER quality label.
To provide consumers with maximum safety with regard to odour barriers, these products will be regularly subjected to repeated tests by the Fraunhofer Institute. The PROOFED BARRIER label finally provides a verifiable, objective standard as far as odour barriers are concerned and removes all insecurities. Experts and consumers can rely on certified quality and simply forget annoying oil odours.
